Dr Krzysztof Czerkas

Licensed trustee/restructuring advisor – no. license of the Minister of Justice 932.

Since 2012, he has been running his own business in the field of real estate market, financial intermediation and debt restructuring of enterprises and individuals, as well as training services.

In the years 1992-2001 he worked at Powszechny Bank Kredytowy S.A., where he served as Deputy Director of the NPL Department and then Director of the Restructuring Department. As the Director of the Restructuring Department, in 1994-1996 he was responsible for managing the portfolio of difficult loans. From 1996 to 2001, he was the Director of the Project Finance Department.

From 2001 to 2013 he worked in BRE Bank Hipoteczny (member of BRE Bank now MBank). First, he held the position of Director of the Commercial Credit Department, and then, from 2004, he headed the Credit Risk Management Department. From 2009 to August 1, 2012, he was a Member of the Management Board of BRE Bank Hipoteczny S.A. responsible for banking risks and for implementing the project of transitioning the above-mentioned Bank to AIRB (advanced credit risk management methods under Basel II) and the housing developer financing model. He was also responsible for collection of NPLs in BRE Bank Hipoteczny S.A.

He also gained many years of experience in banking and finance through internships in foreign banks, including: in Denmark, Chile, USA, Germany and Great Britain. Academic lecturer at postgraduate studies in banking, real estate financing, financial reporting at studies for housing developers (Warsaw Uniwersity, Warsa School of Economics - UW, SGH). Author of many publications and books, including: in the field of investment banking, mortgage banking, financial restructuring of enterprises and banks and real estate financing. Author of guides: Special purpose vehicle. Creation, application, operation, financing. User manual. (ODDK Gdańsk 2017), Project Finance in Polish practice, application in development activities (Twigger, Warsaw 2002) and Takeover of enterprises, organized parts of enterprises and real estate. Enterprise mergers (ODDK Gdańsk 2017). Book Special Purpose Company. Creation, application, operation, financing. User manual. (ODDK Gdańsk 2017) was qualified in 2018 to the final part of the competition for the best business guide in the competition of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. Co-author of the book with Ms. B.Teisseyre: Restructuring of corporate debt from bilateral settlements to restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings (ODDK Gdańsk 2016). The book was awarded second prize in the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna competition for the best business guide in 2017.

At Skarbiec TFI S.A., in the years 2017-2021, he managed three real estate funds with an joint asset value of PLN 110 million. These funds included assets such as commercial premises and apartments for rent. Additionally, investment projects were carried out in the area of construction of apartments and commercial premises for sale and rent. He also conducted negotiations on new loans and restructuring negotiations with banks within managed investment funds.

In the period from August 2021 to June 2022, member of the Management Board of Skarbiec TFI S.A. responsible for risk management. In the period May 2020-January 2022 he was acting CFO (Financial Director) Skarbiec TFI S.A.

A graduate of the Faculty of Finance and Statistics at the SGPiS (currently SGH) and postgraduate management studies at Copenhagen Business School (Denmark). Since 1999 - Doctor of Economics (SGH). In 1997-1998, member of the Supervisory Board of Polski Bank Rozwoju SA (PBR SA). In the years 2014-2017, member of the Supervisory Board of Dekpol S.A. (a company listed on the WSE - development and construction industry).

He has been conducting management training since 1992 - he has trained banks including Pekao S.A., BGK, PKO BP S.A., BOŚ S.A. Raiffeisen S.A., BPH S.A., BNP Paribas S.A., Pekao S.A. and companies such as Kaufland, Skanska as well as the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, the National Bank of Poland and the authorities of the City of Słupsk in the field of restructuring, debt collection, financing of investment projects and real estate financing. He cooperates as a trainer and trainer with KZBS (National Association of Cooperative Banks) and with PFRN (Polish Real Estate Federation).
